Here you will find answers to the most important questions about your stay with us. If you can't find the right answer here, please don't hesitate to contact us directly. Our team will be happy to help you at any time and look forward to making your stay as pleasant as possible.
General & Arrival
Unfortunately, dogs are not allowed in our house.
There are paediatricians, general practitioners, a hospital and pharmacies with night services in the immediate vicinity.
We are happy to offer you a laundry service for a fee. You can hand in a laundry bag at reception, which you will receive back washed and ironed.
If you prefer to do your own laundry, you can use our guest kitchen on the first floor, right next to the lift. There you will find:
- Washing machine and tumble dryer (including detergent; you will need 2 × €1 coins per wash/dry cycle)
- Fridge and small hob
- Battery-powered hoover for quick use
- Iron with ironing board and clothes horse
Directly opposite the kitchenette there is also a cupboard with spare bed linen in case something should happen.
Please let us know your estimated time of arrival. We will pick you up punctually and free of charge from Zell am See railway station.
We are happy to help you book a transfer. The costs are paid directly to the taxi driver.
Room access: Your room will be available to you from 16:00 on the day of arrival at the latest. On the day of departure you can use it until 10:00 am
Early arrival / late departure: You are welcome to arrive before the official check-in time and use all the hotel facilities. On the day of departure, the hotel is at your disposal until 17:00 - also including the use of all facilities
Catering: All-inclusive catering starts with lunch on the day of arrival and ends with an afternoon snack on the day of departure. Breakfast on the day of arrival is possible for an extra charge
Early check-in: If you plan to arrive before 16:00, you can book your room from 12:00 as a day room at a price of €100.00. Please let us know at least 2 days before arrival whether we can reserve a day room for you.
Late check-out: A late check-out is only possible on request and subject to availability and can be booked for an additional charge.
You can reach us easily by car, train or aeroplane. The nearest airport is Salzburg.
There are 3 car parks and an open-air deck available to our guests free of charge.
There are 2 e-charging stations available for our guests. The price is based on the current daily rates (currently €0.66 gross per kWh).
Using the charging stations is easy and independent:
- Scan the QR code with your mobile phone
- Enter your name and payment method
- Start charging
- Free up charging space again when finished
In winter, winter tyres are compulsory in Austria from 1 November to 15 April.
As a rule, snow chains are not required.
Booking
The deposit is EUR 400.00 and is due within 7 days of booking. For bookings made at short notice, we will send you a credit card link with a shorter deadline.
- Up to 8 weeks before the start of the holiday: no cancellation fee
- Within 8 weeks before the start of the holiday: 70 % of the booked package price
- Within 1 week before the start of the holiday, in the event of late arrival or early departure: 100 % of the booked package price
We therefore recommend that you take out travel insurance.
We accept bank transfers (on site only real-time transfer), Visa, Mastercard, EC card and cash payment.
A bank transfer is also possible. Please state the booking name as the reason for payment.
Arrival on Monday is only possible in conjunction with a connecting booking.
All about the family
There are paediatricians, general practitioners, a hospital and pharmacies with night services in the immediate vicinity.
We are happy to provide baby equipment free of charge, including cots and extra beds.
We provide our guests with Thule buggies and pushchairs with carrycots free of charge.
In the childcare centre, guests have the option of registering their children directly with us and thus transferring the duty of supervision to us. The children are then looked after in the childcare centre and are not allowed to run around freely in the house.
Yes, we work together with a swimming instructor who holds the course directly in our hotel indoor pool. The course is for children aged 4 and over and takes place Monday to Friday. One session lasts approx. 40 minutes.
Cost per session:
2 children: €25 per child
From 3 children: 20 € per child
Private lesson: 50 €
Private lesson for siblings (2 children): €55
In the sauna we have our amicalma relaxation area, this area is adults-only.
For the whole family to relax, we have our babynarium with soft lounger and infrared lamp in the pool area.
Parents are also welcome to join us.
The weekly and children's programme is always prepared on the Friday before. However, we will be happy to send you the programme in advance on request.
The MultiMove and the robbers' den are accessible around the clock - even for parents. Children can play in the Happy Club during opening hours. If no childcare is offered, they can also use the area when accompanied by their parents.
Yes, on request and subject to availability - for a fee - we are happy to look after the little ones.
We have a youth room with PS4 and Wii on the third floor. In the basement there is our Multimove with bouldering wall, MultiBall, air hockey, table tennis and pool table.
In summer, teens can try out SUP, climbing or rafting as part of the holiday programme and experience all kinds of adventures.
Yes, there is an adults-only area in the sauna except on Mondays and Wednesdays in the afternoon. In the indoor pool we have our adults-only offer on Wednesdays from 9.00 pm to 11.00 pm, here the pool is reserved exclusively for adults.
Rooms & Offers
You are guaranteed to move into your room at 16:00. However, you can arrive earlier and enjoy the services of the hotel before you move into your room.
We guarantee the room until 4.00 pm on the day of arrival. If you arrive before 4.00 p.m., you can book a day room subject to availability, which guarantees that you will have access to your room by 12.00 noon.
Your room is at your disposal until 10:00 am on the day of departure. You can continue to use the hotel and all facilities until 17:00
Yes, we provide towels and bathrobes for all family members.
Yes, we provide towels and bathrobes for all guests - you don't need to bring anything with you.
Yes, there are no bunk beds in the children's room in our Zeller See room. There are two large double beds in the Schmittenhöhe room.
We offer our all-inclusive alcohol-free package for all bookings, so that you can indulge yourself completely - half board can therefore not be booked separately.
Our rooms are all accessible without steps via the lift. The corridors to the rooms are at least 120 cm wide. There are wheelchair-accessible shelves and controls such as heating, door openers, sockets and switches are barrier-free.
Please note that the bathrooms are not fully accessible and the shower does not have a shower seat. The space in the room is limited, but sufficient.
We currently have 40 rooms - small but nice.
Yes, our WLAN can be used free of charge throughout the hotel.
Skiing & Winter
The Schmittenhöhe is open from mid-December to the beginning of April. In spring temperatures, we recommend the Kitzsteinhorn.
Yes, you can purchase single and multi-day ski passes at reception.
We do not currently offer an all-inclusive package. In our offers, our house is included with our all-inclusive alcohol-free package. Ski lessons, ski school, ski hire and ski pass must be booked in addition.
Beginners start at the bottom of the valley - just a 5-minute walk from our hotel. Alternatively, a shuttle is also available.
The ski instructors decide when the children are fit enough - then they can take the areitXpress up the mountain together.
Our ski hire is available from 15:00 on the day of arrival. You can conveniently hire all the equipment for the whole family there.
Further opening hours can be found in your check-in folder.
Our hotel is located directly at the valley station of the areitXpress.
Yes, we work closely with a ski hire shop and a ski school. You can book your desired services either directly on site or online in advance.
Yes, we have a ski cellar. Each room has two separate lockers for the safe storage of skis.
There is also a separate ski boot room with plenty of space for your ski boots.
The Schmittenhöhe mountain railway is usually in operation from mid-December to the beginning of April - and therefore skiing is also possible during this time.
Yes, the Schmittenhöhe is a very family-friendly ski area and offers many blue pistes that are ideal for beginners.
Yes, the Schmittenhöhe is connected to the Saalbach ski area.
With your ski ticket, you can use the Schmittenhöhe, the Kitzsteinhorn and the Saalbach ski area - perfect for varied days of skiing.
A large selection of equipment is available in the ski hire shop. You can hire the following items, among others:
- skis
- snowboards
- ski boots
- helmets
- poles
- Avalanche airbag
- Rescue set
The meeting point for the children is usually in the valley by the children's lift.
When booking, you will receive detailed information about the meeting point and the corresponding flag where the children will be picked up.
Our package includes the hotel with all inclusive services. You can book your ski course directly with the Sport Alpin ski school.

Half-day course: 2 hours (10:00 - 12:00)
Full-day course: 4 hours (10:00 - 12:00 & 13:00 - 15:00)
The group ski course for children starts at 10.00 am.
No, the children must be brought to the ski courses by their parents.
If the children attend a half-day course in the valley and are then registered in the childcare centre, they come to the hotel with the ski instructor for lunch after the course and are then handed over to the childcare centre.
In the case of a full-day course or if the children are already skiing on the mountain, the parents must collect the children themselves at the end of the course.
To pre-register for the ski course, please send an e-mail to info@sport-alpin.at.
The e-mail should contain the following information:
Subject: Pre-registration + surname
Text: Date of stay, Familotel amiamo, first and last name + age, skiing level, group or private ski course, full or half-day course
The e-mail is only a pre-registration, the firm booking will then be made on site.
Wellness & Spa

We recommend booking massage appointments in advance to secure your preferred date. For spontaneous massages, please contact reception directly.
Yes, on request we are happy to leave the saunas switched on until 23:00.

For environmental reasons, our outdoor pool is open daily from 16:00 to 19:00 in winter. However, we are happy to open the pool for you outside these times on request.

For the whole family to relax, we have our babynarium with soft lounger and infrared lamp in the pool area.
You can reach the beach within 10 minutes by car, we have 3 car parks here and therefore recommend cycling. The beach can be reached by bike in 20 minutes.
Culinary delights
For our vegetarian guests, we offer a vegetarian alternative for every meal. Please inform us of any allergies or food intolerances in good time. In the case of severe allergies, we ask for a detailed list of the desired foods.
Our kitchen team has a lot of experience with alternative diets and will be happy to cater to your wishes. Please note that we do not offer exclusively vegan food, but are happy to serve vegetarian dishes as an alternative.
Please let us know of any food allergies or intolerances in good time. We will be happy to cater to your dietary requirements. In the case of severe allergies, please provide us with a detailed list of the foods you require.
Our kitchen team already has a lot of experience with alternative foods.
We offer child-friendly dishes at the buffet every day.
Alcoholic drinks are not included and can be ordered from the service staff. We will be happy to charge the bill to your room.
Activities
By car: approx. 5 minutes
By bike: approx. 15 minutes

The Guest Mobility Ticket is issued directly at the hotel. You will receive it either as a physical card or digitally in your Zell am See-Kaprun app. It is valid from the day of your arrival for the entire duration of your stay and only for public transport such as buses, trains or local trains.
Please note the following for the digital ticket:
- Download the Zell am See-Kaprun app from the App Store or Google Play Store.
- Enter your e-mail address when registering as a guest at the hotel.
- Register in the app with the same email address.
- Your digital Guest Mobility Ticket can then be accessed at any time in your wallet within the Zell am See-Kaprun app
Winter: No, there is no direct transfer from the hotel to the Kitzsteinhorn. Our shuttle runs daily during ski school times down to the valley and back. We recommend using the bus with the mobility ticket.
Summer: No, there is no shuttle in summer either. We also recommend the bus with the mobility ticket.
Autumn: From the start of skiing on the Kitzsteinhorn, a shuttle is available on request. Please book this at least one day in advance. The shuttle departs at 08:30, the pick-up time can be chosen flexibly.
Sledges are available for hire free of charge in the ski cellar. Please note that these sledges are not suitable for toboggan runs. Sledges can be hired for a fee at the toboggan runs.
Summer: Yes, we provide adult bikes with and without child seats, bikes with trailers and children's bikes. Our bikes are city bikes without electric drive. Helmets in various sizes can be hired at reception.
Winter: No, no bikes are available in winter.
The gondolas are usually in operation from mid-May to the beginning of November. The AreitXpress usually closes from mid-September. You can find the current operating times on the Schmittenhöhe website.
We only hire out city bikes for adults and children at the hotel. E-bikes or mountain bikes can be hired from Bründl Sports, which is located very close to our hotel. Simply contact us directly and we will be happy to organise this for you.
You can reach the beach within 10 minutes by car, we have 3 car parks here and therefore recommend cycling. The beach can be reached by bike in 20 minutes.
Yes, there are 3 car parks directly on the beach. As the number is limited, we recommend that you come by bike.
